American Kannon Zabojnik was the standout rider for Team USA, as the Factory Cobra racer won the highly contested 65cc 10-12 division. The Texas native grabbed the early holeshot but fell. Zabojnik’s victory was the first by an American rider in this class since 2013, and the first World Junior Championship for the USA since Caden Braswell clinched the 85cc title in 2018. He later regained the lead before the race was red-flagged due to inclement weather that made the track nearly impassable for the small bikes.
